The Stark is part of the Urban Tannin Collection — our largest handcrafted tote, built for people who carry everything and apologize for nothing.

The body is wax canvas. The handles and corner reinforcements are vegetable tanned leather. The hardware is aluminum, set by hand. Signature leather corner reinforcements protect every carry. The iconic BS.&Co. Original Absolute graphic print makes a statement before you even open it.

This is an XL structured open tote with D-rings on both sides and a removable crossbody strap. A decorative leather center tab closure keeps things in place.

Vegetable tanned leather is one of the oldest and most traditional forms of leather tanning. Unlike chrome tanning, which uses chemicals, vegetable tanning uses natural tannins found in tree bark and plants. The result is a leather that is firm, durable, and develops a beautiful patina over time — growing richer and more personal with every use.

At Bagsmith & Co., we hand-select every piece of vegetable tanned leather for quality and character. No two bags are exactly alike — and that's exactly the point.

Care Instructions

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid soaking or submerging in water.
For leather parts, apply a small amount of leather conditioner every few months to keep it supple.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
For wax canvas, re-waxing once a year will maintain water resistance and extend the life of the bag.
Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners.
